Nitroceutic, LLC has developed a broad hypothesis to understand and use ammonia oxidizing bacteria in medical applications.

Ammonia oxidizing bacteria are a normal part of the natural environment and are present in all soils and most surface and ground waters.

These valuable nitrifying bacteria are responsible for the first step in the process of nitrification, - the oxidation of ammonia into nitrite, while producing nitric oxide.

Broad patent applications covering the utilization of these autotrophic bacteria in topical health care products worldwide have been filed.
